rebuy, a leading European recommerce company, is known for its innovative approach to refurbishing and reselling electronics, contributing to a sustainable and circular economy.

With multiple subsidiaries across Germany and Poland, it became evident that a more streamlined approach to People Analytics was essential to maintain operational efficiency and tackle the right people challenges.

The Challenge​

When Janina Cußmann, Chief People Officer at rebuy since 2022, reviewed the company’s HR processes, she identified critical gaps in data management. The HR team relied on multiple platforms like HiBob, Peakon, Recruitee, Traffit, and Excel files from internal operations and payroll providers, but there was no centralized system to unify the data across multiple locations.

This lack of a single source of truth made it difficult for the team to generate reliable, real-time insights, leading to inefficiencies and slower decision-making.

With HR data spread across various tools and systems, consistency and reliability in reporting were hard to achieve.

Due to manually compiling workforce data in Excel files and Google Sheets, establishing full transparency across the entire employee lifecycle across multiple rebuy locations ended up being time-consuming and prone to errors.

The people and leadership team lacked immediate access to up-to-date information, making it challenging to make proactive, informed decisions.

The Decision​

To optimize HR data processes and overcome existing challenges, rebuy decided to implement peopleIX. This platform provided the perfect solution to efficiently unify data from various HR tools and elevate the HR strategy to the next level.

The Implementation ​

After piloting peopleIX in March 2024, the team cleaned up data, normalized metrics, and built customized dashboards. Then, the platform was rolled out to internal stakeholders, giving them instant access to the data.

During the integration process, peopleIX connected to key systems, such as HiBob, Peakon, Recruitee, Traffit, and Snowflake. This ensured that all employee data flowed seamlessly across the organization, establishing a robust foundation for data-driven HR operations.
